Global K9 Italia is a new company forged from decades of elite experience in professional dog units. Our foundation is the unparalleled expertise of our founder, Rinaldo Brega, whose background uniquely blends distinguished Special Operations service, extensive law enforcement, and deep academic understanding.

Rinaldo’s path began in the 1980s with an impactful three-year tenure in Italian Army Special Operations Forces, serving with distinction in the mountain paratroopers company, an elite Ranger-type unit. This early experience forged his discipline and strategic approach.

In 1993, Rinaldo joined the municipal police, continuing his service to the community. During this period, he also pursued academic excellence, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Government Administration from the prestigious University of Padua. His deep interest in public service and canine history culminated in a final dissertation on the history and deployment of dogs by Italian public administration.

By 2000, Rinaldo became one of the first dog handlers in Italian Local Police, applying his comprehensive knowledge to canine operations. He quickly achieved proficiency in general purpose and patrol duties, further expanding his skills to include dual-purpose patrol and drug detection with the U.S. Army SETAF in Vicenza.
